There is a before. And there is an after.

The after is its own terrain — one that the medical system, for all its skill and care, cannot fully map. Treatment ends. Appointments space out. People tell you how well you look. And you are left standing in a body and a life that has been fundamentally altered, trying to find footing in territory that has no clear trail.

You don't have to explain yourself here.
You don't have to be grateful, or strong, or finished with what happened.
You just have to be willing to be accompanied.

The After Path is whole-body, lifelong accompaniment for people living with and beyond diagnosis, surgery, and medical transition. Not a program you complete. Not a phase of care with a discharge date. A relationship that deepens at the pace your nervous system can hold — tending every layer of what a serious illness or surgery touches.
Because it touches more than the body.
It touches everything.​
How We Work Together
There is no fixed protocol here. There is a natural deepening — a pathway that follows the readiness of your body, your nervous system, and the relationship we build together over time.
The Four Stages
Beginning — Safety Through the Body
We start where you are. Oncology bodywork and Manual Lymphatic Drainage — specialized, credentialed touch adapted for bodies in and beyond treatment or surgery — establishes the first layer of safety. Your body learns it can be met without being harmed. This is not a small thing for a body that has been through what yours has been through.
Deepening — Widening the Window
When the body has enough trust, the deeper work becomes possible. Alchemical Alignment — a somatic trauma modality developed by Brigit Viksnins — begins to address what the body is still holding across all seven realms. (Physical, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual, Energetic, Relational) We move slowly. We follow your system's pace.
Expanding — The Ancestral Waters
For those who are ready, the work eventually opens into the ancestral dimension — the lineage who carried illness before you, the support available from your well ancestors, and the possibility of completing what previous generations could not. We do not enter this water prematurely. Your nervous system tells us when it's time.
Continuing — For as Long as You Need
Survivorship does not end. Neither does this relationship. There is no graduation from The After Path. There is only the ongoing tending of a life that was changed — and the gradual, unhurried discovery of what it means to live fully inside it.

Oncology Massage &
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Specialized massage therapy and lymphatic drainage adapted for people affected by cancer, surgery, and serious illness — during treatment, in recovery, and long into survivorship. Pressure, positioning, and technique are carefully calibrated to your current medications, treatment history, surgical sites, and comfort.
This is not a standard massage. It is precise, informed, and entirely focused on your body's current reality.
Integrative Oncology Massage
An evidence-based therapeutic modality specifically adapted for individuals receiving cancer treatment or in recovery. This specialized practice requires comprehensive understanding of oncology protocols, treatment side effects, and contraindications specific to cancer care.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
Available for those managing lymphedema or lymphatic disruption following surgery or radiation — a gentle, clinically recognized technique that supports lymphatic flow and reduces swelling.

Alchemical Alignment
A body-oriented somatic therapy developed by Brigit Viksnins MAT, SEP, RCST® — Alchemical Alignment works with all seven realms of experience: Physical, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual, Energetic, Relational, and Ancestral.
For people living with and beyond diagnosis and surgery, Alchemical Alignment offers a way to metabolize what treatment left behind — the somatic imprints of fear, the nervous system that hasn't yet received permission to exhale, the spiritual disruption of a mortality encounter, the ancestral grief that illness can awaken.
